indeedsir_backupOMG you guys, OMG OMG OMG! Remember my series of vintage Wodehouse illustration posts? (The last one I did is here, and I think that has links to all of them.) Well, I just found an amazing website that not only has transcripts of pretty much every Wodehouse work published in a periodical before 1923, but they also include all the original illustrations. Check it out.
Believe it or not, I think I have actually found an illustrator who has an even worse grasp of what Bertie is supposed to look like than old Skidmore. Meet Tony Sarg, illustrator of a couple Jeeves and Bertie stories published in the Saturday Evening Post. Yep . . . Bertie is the slouchy one with the glasses.
