Fanlore? Ao3?

I took the liberty of updating the Jeeves and Wooster Fanlore page a couple of months ago, but mary_flanner's post made me wonder if there is a list of works that should be included?  Authors?  Crossovers?  Pairings?

It looks like a great place to link fics. I wouldn't mind linking to my A03 page, I bet other fic writers would be ok with that, too.

There's some stuff already there, but it seems highly selective not sure how to describe this... rather like what the initial writer thought was most important at the time.

I wouldn't mind my AO3 being linked there, either, though it does seem a little narrow of scope in some ways - might just need help, perhaps?

This all makes me wonder - do we have a collection/mirror of IndeedSir on AO3? Ought we to, if not?

That's an excellent point about Fanlore (which is technically part of the Ao3 umbrella)... I was going to write more but was afraid to be all presumptuous-like as I have only been following the fandom for just over a year.

And I was genuinely wondering who thought which fanfics were the corkingest and whatnot.

Regarding a mirror site...not as far as I know. Since Fanlore is part of the whole Ao3 thing, technically there is a link there, but otherwise, we are just obligated to post there. I think it would be nice to have an official 'collection' for the weekly drabble challenge.

I found another fan site with a really lovely essay about Jeeves and Wooster... of course, all the links were broken because the essay is from 2006-07. Depressing.

The broken links thing, arg! Same here on several things that looked like they'd be awesome and were inaccessible.

Which leads me to think that a Jeeves & Wooster Drabble Collection on AO3 would be lovely - people could link their own as they choose, and folks could more easily find past efforts for review. Since you can search the J & W tag to find fic, I thought at first that maybe having an AO3 indeedsir presence would be redundant, but considering how folks keep deleting their LJs and LJ itself gets a bit buggered now and then, maybe it would be a good idea to have an IndeedSir collection, as well.

Yes... quite depressing, in fact. I do agree that that would be lovely. A bit of work for those of us who have been archiving drabbles, but no pain no thingummy as they say.
