So, I suggest:

1. Timeframe: 20 Dec - 20 (or until 30) Jan

2. Fics and arts on general plots or situations. Like three ghosts, kiss under misletoe, Christmas wish, exchanging gifts, superstitious Christmas beliefs, prepearing traditional Christmas food, Christmas night dance, games with traditional Christmas things (candles, advent calendar etc).

Your thoughts and/or your ideas?

Sounds excellent! Do you want prompts?

YES! I wonder if you would think of opening up the festive prompt a little bit in terms of time to include New Years (if the fest is going into January anyhow) -- in addition to the obvious potential for fancy drunken parties, there's the midnight kiss and the tradition of the First Footer (tall, dark-haired and handsome *ahem*) ... I'm sure there are lots of other interesting traditions too.

Here's a link to a German web site (http://www.learnenglish.de/culture/christmas.htm) that describes British customs

It sounds fine to me.... but I have never really done this before. I followed a prompt from queerfest one time...

Twelfth Night might be a good festive prompt - it's the day that, traditionally, masters trade places with their servants. :3
