Aunts Aren't Spacemen

Hello, all! It's been a while, too long I should think.

Now I don't know if it has ever been mentioned here, my profound apologies if it already has, but there is a novel out there in the ether that claims to be like a Wodehouse novel set in space. It goes by the name of 'Aunts Aren't Spacemen', and it can be found here http://www.amazon.co.uk/Spacemen-Darlington-Winslow-Series-ebook/dp/B007U78I2S

Now, when I saw that this exists I was ecstatic. Having read the preview, however, I feel that it misses the mark somewhat, in terms of tone and Jeeves content. I have since taken it upon myself to write a piece following this space motif that is far, far Jeevesier. Please alert me if someone else in this marvellous community has already done so, I would hate to tread on anyone's toes.

If you want a good Wodehousian novel check out Hugh Laurie's The Gun Seller. I'm in the middle of it right now and it's ah-maz-ing (because Hugh Laurie has all the talents). It's a spy thriller narrated by a very Bertie Woosterish international man of mystery.

As far as Jeeves and Wooster in space I can't recall ever hearing of such a thing except as a throw away background sort of reference in some sort of space opera sci-fi novel that I have linked somewhere but haven't gotten around to reading. Anyway, I shouldn't think you'd be able to have too much Jeeves and Wooster in space in any case, so write away.

That sounds utterly fantastic. I am currently still working my way through the last few stragglers of Jeeves, Loveraft's anthology, Watchmen, and the Howl series, but rest assured that is next on the list to purchase. Thank you for mentioning it. ^^

Hopefully not too anxiously, it may be some time in coming. I wrote about six pages, and then I realized that I have no idea what is going to happen in terms of conflict, hahahaha. I'm thinking something involving Spodes, Gussies, and Milady's Boudoir funds (so very stereotypical Jeeves content), but I haven't quite weaved it all together into something coherent. If you have any ideas you'd be willing to lend to the cause I would be most thankful (:
