Rules:
1) A drabble is, by definition, a 100-word story therefore all responses should be 100 words exactly, no exceptions.
2) You may also choose to respond to this challenge with a five-minute sketch.
3) PLEASE put the word DRABBLE at the top of your post. That way people can easily spot the drabbles in amongst any reader comments they receive.
RATING: I don't think this should be limited so reader beware that they could be any rating (you could put it in the subject line if you feel it needs it)
PLEASE try to remember to make each drabble a comment in response to the original post. That way, if the comments start to collapse, the drabbles themselves should remain visible.
Hurt / Comfort
Can you fit that into 100 words? Can you? Yes, you - I'm talking to you! Don't eyeball me soldier!! *Ahem* sorry - little crazy there... as you were...

Date: 2012-08-28 06:32 am (UTC)It had been four miserable, wretched days since Jeeves turned his face away in distressed silence from Bertie's hesitant confession, regretfully tendered his resignation.
Now Bertie stumbled to answer the dashed persistent doorbell, not giving a toss that his tie hung loose and his hair was wildly mussed.
The last person Bertie expected to see was Jeeves. There came a long silence.
Finally, Jeeves reached out, deftly straightening Bertie's tie, almost tenderly smoothing his hair. "I've come to ask your forgiveness and to reconsider my answer... Bertram."
Bertie grabbed for the door frame, knees gone wobbly. "Oh, Jeeves! Reg... Yes!"
