Oh, I know you can post from Photobucket that way. I've used it to post photos on my LJ. But I have some issues with Photobucket that make me hesitant to use it for art, the main one being that newly uploaded items show up on the front page. I don't want just anybody coming across my stuff, especially if it's anything above PG. At least with Tumblr you have to search for fanart to find it.
