Actually I'm amazed at how well the two worlds mesh sometimes! I think it's partly because, like Wodehouse's characters, the ponies also live in a pretty idealized world, but one that is still open to having class differences. (Actually, it's RIFE with class differences. If you ever decide to watch the cartoon, the episodes "Best Night Ever" and "Sweet and Elite" are good examples of this. The latter has a pony wearing a suit and a monocle with a British accent, even!)

I hope everything is making sense and please let me know if it doesn't or if you have any questions. I do try to make the story accessible for people who haven't watch the show . . . or for those sad souls who haven't read Wodehouse! ;)
