I glanced briefly through the chapter before reading and misunderstood. I thought Mason was the silver thief who had robbed Jeeves, LOL. Now I know what really happened.

I'm unsure if he is really a bore who doesn't know when he isn't wanted or a more sinister character in disguise. It all seems rather fortuitous, especially with the woman and the girl turning up out of the blue. Coincidence? Or leave it to Jeeves?
