fanfic novel
Jan. 16th, 2011 08:10 pmWhat ho everyone,
I was wondering if anything had ever become of the idea of making the fantastic fanfic Jeeves and the Artistic Verisimilitude into a book.
I found the following link http://fanlore.org/wiki/Jeeves_and_the_Artistic_Verisimilitude which shows that the book has somehow been published, but when I go to the website lulu.com and search for the previously mentioned title, I get not results.
I would love to have a copy of that story as a book, especially with the art that was made.

Thanks very much for your interest!

Date: 2011-01-17 11:48 pm (UTC)My guess would be, out of copyright is fine. After all, people have been writing Holmes pastiches for ages, and the current spate of Victorian-horror mashups wouldn't be possible otherwise.
That said, while some of the J/W novels and stories are out of copyright, Jeeves and Wooster as characters were last published in the 70s and are still in copyright and the property of the Wodehouse estate for some years yet. This is part of the reason you can't get all of them on Project Gutenberg.
