I couldn't agree more. Don't let those appalling cover illustrations fool you.

I think when I'm writing Jooster, I have to picture characters who vaguely resemble Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry, and I definitely hear their voices. But when you just want to be entertained by superb reading, Jonathan Cecil is the tops. He does awesome voices. His Roderick Glossop voice had me doubled up with laughter. It's astonishing to me when one person can do such a variety of voices.

His Jeeves voice can vary a little bit, but on the whole, it has a nice, quiet, understanding and soothing tone - it doesn't drone or force itself on you.

My favourite so far is his reading of the Yule Tide Spirit - the one where Bertie is attempting to woo Bobbie Wickham and Jeeves practically snaps at him. The little scene near the end when Bertie is furious at Jeeves for not telling him that Tuppy and Sir Roderick switched rooms, causing him to puncture the hot water bottle of the wrong person is just lovely.
