Thank you for the reply and letting me know what you especially liked! Yes, the Wrights were trying to provide some distraction so Jeeves wouldn't have too much time to worry and be lonely. As Jeeves doesn't have his club anymore, I wanted to give him some support in life. I'm happy that Jeeves sounds in character. In the books, he's always so knowledgeable about people that I feel he must have been good at getting the info. in the first place and good at listening, too. I don't think even a war would change A. Agatha. Heffie sees the piano playing as the last part of courting Wright, even though it will be done after the ceremony, and in a way he'll never stop courting the man-always finding things like the oak carving to do.
