I use Audacity too, and the fan background noise is a constant issue. It frustrates me that I can't get a cleaner sound without buying some serious kit. If anyone knows of a way to get around it without a ton of money, I am all ears.

I try to do it all in one go, with short breaks for water and throat-clearing every few minutes. If I do a scene and then stop for a long time, sometimes I can't recreate the original pace and voice I had been using.

Lastly, I think everyone here knows that I try my damnedest to do different voices and accents but I am full of fail when it comes to being British. I hope my enthusiasm makes up for it though!
