What ho!,

Stephen Fry has published a completely moving, poignant, heart-shattering letter to his 16 year old self; it can be viewed here:

I really have no words to respond with at the moment.

That was so touching. It makes me feel blessed to live in the time that I do, but sad still.
Thank you for posting it. :)

Oh dear, Stephen often gives new reasons to be adored, regardless of how unnecessary it is. I shall keep this text because of it's wonderfulness.

Lurker here but just wanted to say wow. This man is amazing. He has real insight and just as important the eloquence to express it.

Why do I - despite being female, not gay, and a generation later - know exactly what he means?
Stephen Fry. Amazing man.

Wow! That was absolutely wonderful. I'm glad he could take 16 year old Stephen seriously, I know I'd never be able to. He writes so well and is able to communicate and touch people who are (in my case) neither male nor gay.

I really like the way he outlines the good things and how far societies have come along and then reminds us that there's a whole fight still to be fought.

God, I feel like I know exactly what young Stephen was going on about. ;_;

Your timing is spot-on, by the way. I needed this right now. Oh, Stephen. ♥

Oh God, I'm crying. Dammit Stephen, it is 11:43 and I am bursting into tears and my mom thinks that I'm insane and, speaking as a gay teenage girl, this is so, so true.

That...wow.

Thank you infinitely for sharing this. That was a beautiful read. I want to give Stephen a hug now. (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Woobie/RealLife)
