Must read TSoP! (Anything by F. Scott Fitzgerald is amazing.) The fic will make sense if you've not read the book, of course, but the background and character information (not to mention the timing in the storyline) will be a little iffy if you haven't. Not as much punch, y'see.
I think I'll post the other fic first, though, all things considered. I like that one better, anyway. And it incorporates one of my psychological weirdnesses - w00t!
