I managed to find Frances Donaldson's biography of Wodehouse in Hatchard's today (did I ever mention how much I love that place?) Anyway, very early on in the book, she makes the point that 90% of Wodehouse's readers are male and that Wodehousean comedy doesn't appeal so much to women.
The only people in real life who I know to have opinions on Wodehouse are my parents and they seem to support this theory, with my mum despising his work and my dad nicking my books to read. So I was wondering, what do people on here think? I myself am female and at a complete loss to understand how anyone could not adore Wodehouse, but according to all my friends, I have weird tastes.
