I'm still toying with that Vampire!Bertie fic.....I've run into a rather ugly bit of writers block.
Now, I have a question: Another little idea has come to me. A story told from the point of view of Madeline Basset, not sure if it should be first person or third, but we would be seeing things through her eyes. The idea is, someone as soppy and romance obsessed as Madeline might, *might*, look at Bertie and Jeeves and suddenly find themselves looking through slash goggles, or, as I prefer to call it, rainbow tinted lenses.
"Oh, I see it now! I understand now, Bertie! I am so sorry it took me so long! Oh, Bertie!"
"Eh?"
"How my heart aches for you, now! The anguish! The longing! The hidden, unnatural desires! Your love being so close, and you being unable to touch!"
"I - I say, Madeline! That is....I think I've lost you somewhere..."
"Oh, Bertie, you don't need to lie to me. I am your friend. You have nothing but my sympathy, I will not betray you!"
"That is.... very kind of you...."
".....Oh, Bertie...you really don't know what I'm talking about, do you?"
"I...well..."
"You don't even know! You've hidden it even from yourself!"
"...Have I?"
"Yes, Bertie. But don't worry. I shall help you."
"Um...dashed kind of you..."
"We will talk, privately, after dinner, Bertie. Love is such a hard-sought thing in this world! It must, like the pansies in the spring, be encouraged to bloom. With my help, I shall see that you blossom!"
"...right ho, then."
...Sorry for that outburst. My question was, has this been done?
EDIT: Seeing your comments, I have made two observations.
1) This has not been done before; I will not be committing plagarism.
2) I have generated a lot of enthusiam by mentioning these ideas, and will possibly be summarily lynched if I do not follow through.
3) Oh, dash it, what have I gotten myself into? Wait, that's three.
