A "Dark" Discussion

I happened to catch the Jeeves and Wooster segment on the salute to the 12 greatest Masterpiece Theatre series. It included some thoughts from Hugh (but none from Stephen, sigh), and one of them really caught my attention.
Hugh praises Stephen's performance and says "There's something or other sort of DARK about Stephen as there is, I think, about Jeeves."
So, class---please discuss---is there a 'dark' quality to Jeeves? Does he have a dark side?
(I have to give a real history test, but I'd much rather read your answers to this discussion question!!!! Thanks ahead of time!)
