i am the proud instigator of two new lovers of Jeeves and Wooster.

I cornered my mother into watching an episode with me the other night, and was thus rewarded with laughter, gasps, and another fan.

"I knew Jeeves was behind it" my mother grinned. She is now looking forward to more episodes.

Next case: 9 year old Jack, my cousin, resident gameboy obsessee.

When a gameboy is in his hands (which is always), there is nothing else in the world.

He does, however, adore Monty Python and Michael Palin's Cheese Shop.

Then, subtle as Jeeves into a room (Sans the shimmering), i slipped in Season One.

And By Gosh By Jove, what do i see but Jack's blue eyes raised from his gameboy and fixate on the TV.

Hook, line, and sinker. At one point he yelled and i quote,

"JEEVES! jeeves! Don't leave me with this maniac!"

"Terribly sorry sir, but i had to"

in a British accent.

It was all very enjoyable.

Also, the chap was staying over, as our respective relatives would be out late and i pulled some strings.

As we tucked in, all was quiet until i heard, "G'night, Bertie" (Pronounced, i'm glad to report 'Buh-tee')

"G'night, Jeeves" I replied.

And the conversion was complete.

(On a last note, i had my Entertainment magazine with Hugh Laurie on the cover. Jack spied it and shouted (Mind you, Jack is anything but quiet) "Bertie is the guy from House!")

Toodle-pip!
