I'm sorry if I'm bothering people with all the posting, but it's only my second time through the series.

I noticed Bertie listed off the ingredients for one of his drinks and it contained 'a bit of absinthe.'

Since I have never read the books, is that ever given as a reason for Bertie being so...off? Is Bertie a flitterhead?
