So, I'm a J/W fan (clearly) and I've got this college radio show. And on this college radio show, I'm going to be playing [livejournal.com profile] lucylou's rendition of the [livejournal.com profile] indeedsir theme song, because (1) it's pretty; (2) she graciously permitted me to; (3) this week's musical theme is Queer Pride, and what's queerer than J/W?

Just so you know I haven't breezed in out of nowhere to expose our community to the masses and bring terror and doom upon us all, I'm actually a member (a longtime member), and I created this LJ sockpuppet account in order to keep my radio persona (read: RL info) separate from my fannish persona, since that's kinda important to me.

Also: [livejournal.com profile] peak_in_darien, you wrote the song... I'm going to gingerly assume that you'd be cool with me playing it on the show? If not, feel free to flog me.

In order to listen, you'll need to go to kscr.org. You'll also need the latest iTunes and/or Winamp. The streaming links are on the top righthand side of the website. If you need help, it's here. You can also make requests via phone at (213) 740 - KSCR or via AIM or MSN at KSCRLive. If you're, by any chance, on-campus at the University Of Southern California in Los Angeles (aka: my broadcasting location), you may be able to tune in at 1560AM on your radio, but the web is a better bet.

To sum up: Queer music and artists. Really awesome song by [livejournal.com profile] indeedsir members. And I'll be playing another special surprise Jeeves & Wooster-involved song somewhere in the broadcast. So... listen? Please? And if you never want spam of this type on the community again, just tell me and I'm out of your hair.

ETA: Broadcast date and time. That would help.

The broadcast I'm talking about is Saturday, April 2nd at 8:00am - 10:00am Pacific Standard Time. Aka, tomorrow morning. I'm really, really sorry about the late notice, but, God-and-in-studio-CD-burner-willing, I'm going to post .mp3s of the broadcast up on my LJ via YouSendIt, so if you miss it, you can catch it there. But listening live is even better! And there's a good chance I'll be playing [livejournal.com profile] lucylou and J/W-related stuff again in the future, if you miss me this time.

Yep, can you believe it? House was the fourth most-watched show last week - *!!!*. Who knew this would be so popular?

And there's an article in this week's Entertainment Weekly (in America) about House and its success.

BTW - they credit American Idol (which precedes House) with some of its success. Can't agree with that - I watch House DESPITE having to sit through a few minutes of AI beforehand, to make sure I don't miss any of it. *G*

On the other hand, I suppose I can see why American Idol fans might also enjoy House - I mean, American Idol has a sharp-tongued British lead who tells it like it is, a pretty girl with a big heart, a down-to-earth black man, and a shallow pretty boy. That does bear a strange resemblance to a certain other show... hmmmmm... *G*
