I think that Roderick Spode would have been able to make a silk satin floral lace-trimmed X-hatch for just such an eventuality.
I do believe, though, that Jeeves doesnot like it... he's horrified and trying to protect Bertie by distracting him. This one should really go in the hurt/comfort drabbles. Yes, that's my story and I am sticking with it.
