Bertie meets the Cthulhu Myth

You guys know The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen? The book that takes old English and American novels and crosses them over in an eerie way?

This is the Jeeves & Wooster part of it.

One of the Great Old Ones (extraterrestrial, brain-napping sort of chap), visits aunt Dahlia at Brinkley Court and tries to steal Bertie's brain.

If this sort of thing is up your alley, you might want to try and track down a copy of Scream For Jeeves: A Parody by P.H. Cannon and illustrated by J.C. Eckhardt. (ISBN 0-940-88460-7) It contains three stories, Cats, Rats and Bertie Wooster, Something Foetid, and The Rummy Affair of Young Charlie, as well as The Adventure of Three Anglo-American Authors: Some Reflections on Conan Doyle, P.G. Wodehouse and H.P. Lovecraft.

I found it to be quite a hoot.

will read asap, and looking forward to it :)
And love the art at the end, despite Jeeves being a bit too... cheeky ;)!

*gasp* How did I not realize that this was lurking in my Black Dossier all along? Thank you so much for posting it!

(you might want to mention that this is all copyright Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neill, just to be safe)

w00t!! I had just put this issue of League on my Wish List, wanting it only for the J&W Meet Cthulu story...and here you've put it right in my hands. :-)

Thank you!

Edited to say: OMG, hilarious! Cool Lulu, *snort*!

I normally hate Cthulhu, and how cliche Lovecraft h,as become but this is quite delightful :3

Oh thanks for sharing this! I don't have time to sit and read it now, but I will later. I've been wanting to read this for months.

As a heads up, I actually started work on Lovecraft-tinted Jeeves and Wooster fic a while back. I Sort of put it on the back-burner when this Educational Tour business came up, but there's still a good chance it may see the light of day (or the internet, anyhow) yet.

Oh, man. I'm working on this sprawling ridiculous pastiche, but I was going to do this other way around. I figured the Mi-Go would want Jeeves's brain, since they usually take brains that, y'know... function.

I'm amazed Bertie survived this, I thought he'd be cannon fodder.

Ugh, I know. And it was written so badly that I threw up a little bit in my mouth, trying to read it.

God I hate Alan Moore so much.

Thanks for sharing, that was entertaining. Since the time periods overlap, Lovecraft plus Jeeves seems like a tempting crossover.
