I love tumblr, but I'm not allowed to spend time on it because it will eat my life. Really. It's the only site on the internet I don't use because I love it too much. Only issue with tumblr is that it can be hard to retain credit for stuff, so I would watermark like crazy with your tumblr address or whatever. Although if you're just posting fan art maybe you aren't as concerned about art theft. There's also always DeviantArt which I have mixed feelings about but is (if nothing else) a good free place to post artwork.
