Blandings and an excellent lunch
What ho friends! Just a couple of things to excite and amuse.
First of all, I came across the following piece of news today - BBC to film Blandings: http://bit.ly/H3ioh7. I'm not sure how I feel about the casting but will be interesting to see how it turns out.
Secondly, last week I was in the singularly fortunate position of being off work and by the seaside on the south coast of England. With my friends, I stopped in at a café for lunch that was called "Woosters". I was just attracted by the name as something that would make me quietly smile to myself but oh no, it's much better than that.

I had the Wooster's Club and very good it was too. One friend had Madeleine's tuna melt and said it was equally good. We were all disappointed that Fink Nottle's Fancy was a, not spelt Fink-Nottle's Fancy (#pedants) and b, that it contained no newts.

PS Is there an lj community for Blandings, or Wodehouse in general?
