Hello, all! I've just been rewatching the series over the past few days, and it's got me seeking further gratification now I'm nearly done. I'm afraid I'm not much for writing fic these days, but I'd quite like to read anything you lovely chaps can recommend. I'm looking for something lighthearted, keeping in tone with the series, with ample amounts of fluff and joy; nothing dark or depressing or angst-ridden, thank you, though hardly Madeline Basset levels of cavity-inducing sweetness. I also like medium-length one-shots, as I've not quite the attention span for anything that consists of many chapters. The preferred pairing, of course, is Jeeves/Wooster, though if you've anything of Mrs. Rockmateller*/Duke of Chiswick lying around, that will also be appreciated.

(I do hope this isn't in bad form, but you see I'm rather new around here and looking about, it seems this isn't an entirely unheard of practice. And if I've tagged wrong or otherwised bunked something up, please tell me so I can correct it immediately.)

*I think that's her name, anyway.

edit: I also like a bit of silliness, if you've any of that hanging about wanting to be read.

Heh. Unlike the rest of you lot, I'm not madly in love with Mr. Fry's body, nor Mr. Laurie's- but that was rather lovely. *doffs cap*

I'm enamored of Fry and Laurie just because I've loved everything I've seen them in, and they are both fantastic, outstanding authors, and Laurie's a musical genius as well. I'd be jealous as a green eyed whatsit, but they're both nice people too. WTF is up with that? They are supposed to be all stuck up and hateable!

I think it's kind of interesting, how most of the people on this comm have seen F and L as J and W, everybody loves them at it, and they make great icons, yet we can still have lots of different body images in mind.
I tend to avoid descriptions in my fic, figuring most people already know what J and W look like, at least to them.
Though in my mind, Claude and Eustace look more like the Weasley twins from Harry Potter than the guys in the series, lol! Gingers ahoy!

Yeah, I was actually thinking yesterday that they were a bit like what F and G would have been, had they been born to high society and, you know, not cruelly ripped from one another at such a young age.

If C and E could put a portable swamp in the middle of there school, you know they would.

Ps I always hated that the portable swamp didn't make it into the move, I loved that bit!

I turned from the movies in disgust the minute Neville was given Dobby's part in four- Neville is my second favorite fictional person ever (after one Jeff Murdock), but I won't have characters being usurped of important roles.

I've just had the thought of Jeeves being a wizard, hence his fantastic abilities. ~~Or part House-Elf, hence the feudal spirit.~~

Or a full Magical Britain AU. Magical Jeeves and Wooster: Like Jeeves and Wooster, but with magic. And since it's in the twenties, Lord Chuckles won't be causing them any trouble yet.

Jeeves being chased by the aurors is on the kinkmeme, and somebody asked for houseelf!Jeeves for Yuletide, and on it goes=)
And somewhere there is a pic of Fry dressed as a professor with a riding crop, which is a whole new level of kink;)

That's the thing about kinkmemes, if they run long enough everything will be thought of.
