Hullo, dear indeedsir community. I've been lurking in the shadows for a while and have only just recently made myself an account.

I've been sitting around and realised that I have quite a bit of time on my hands. Suddenly I was overcome with an urge to write, but unfortunately I'm a terribly uncreative blot and thought it would be best to have a little peek into the midst of my favourite fandom and just ask you lot:

Does anyone have a plot bunny for me?

While I love Wodehouse I have never been a writer and so this idea has been stewing in my mind for some time. We sometimes see references to Bertie's sister and that she has children. What if she and her husband died in some way and seeing as the Aunts are getting on in the years, Bertie was the only one left to take care of the kids. This could lead to the difficulties of Jeeves and Bertie trying to keep their relationship a secret, the fact that Bertie while a fun uncle is not prepared to be a parent, and the British school system of the 1920s if you want to do some research. If you like the idea (or anyone else) and want some more ideas feel free to PM me.

By the way I am also mild historical researcher and know a lot about and how to find info on this era. If anyone needs help in this way please contact me. I would be glad to be of assistance.

Hmm... I am quite intrigued by this idea. I'll definitely keep this one in mind! (Bertie's sister is a pretty recurring subject lately, isn't she?)

Well, having just finished "Right Ho, Jeeves", I'd love a story where poor Bertie snaps and takes an axe to the whole household... Kidding. (Actually, no, not really, but I'll give you another idea anyway.)

If you don't mind taking a plot line from a fellow lurker, how about this:

We know different friends of Bertie's have tried to lure Jeeves away, but Bertie is a pretty wonderful employer, so what if another servant got jealous and tried to lure Bertie away by turning him against Jeeves? Say, for instance, a lowly footman at Brinkley Court or Totleigh Towers, who has seen the things Jeeves does to Bertie AND has access to Bertie's ear.

Bertie and Jeeves go fishing. Bertie turns out to be better at it than Jeeves and Jeeves has to suddenly deal with (le gasp) envy.

Hopefully it all ends up with sexy loveliness, but it doesn't have to do so.

You could add a dark streak to it, he hears stories about Jeeves' experiences during the war/ friends he lost. And you could counteract it with stories of Jeeves being silly ad getting in trouble as a child.
The more Bertie hears, the more he loves his man?
Something like that... :)

Of course if I did it, it would just end up being a heart-breaking angst fic where nobody wins >:)

Jeeves (accidentally?) gets high on one of the early types of speed (they did exist, in various forms, just after WW1 and so on).
