Create Your Own Adventure?

Forgive me if this is a bit off-topic, but about the pictures I put up yesterday, quite a few of you were interested in the "Create Your Own Adventure". The thing is, I've seen one of those before on some sort of website. I can't remember where I found it, but it was for Garak/Bashir slash, and it was really fun! But does anyone have any idea how I could create something like that?

All I remember about the website was that I got a direct link to the page, and the entire page was just filled with the story. No banners, no ads, so I don't know the host website. =.=;

I hope this is ok to ask for help with this here. I wanted to make you guys something nice for Christmas. ^^;

If you are looking for software to do it, there is DreamPath (http://www.drakevision.com/projects/dreampath/), which follows the Choose Your Own Adventure style.

If you wanted to try and do something a little more like Miser's House, Zork and the other text adventures, I recommend Inform 7 (http://www.inform-fiction.org/I7/Inform%207.html).
