No. I tried learning the flute when I was about 8 or 9, but my arms were too short. Literally. When I was 12 and 13, I played drums for a while, but I'd really love to learn the saxophone. How long have you been playing the violin?

I've been playing for about 9 years now. I locw the sound of a sax. I'd like to learn how to play it as well.

My sister's been playing the flute for over ten years now. She started when I was trying and her arms were longer. She hasn't played much recently because she had to get braces on her teeth. They're gone now, but I don't know if she's going to try to resume playing. I like the sound of the sax, too. I can't afford to rent one or take lessons, but I'd dearly love to.

*giggle* I'd recommend learning the piano for sure. It's extremely versatile as an instrument.

I took lessons for a little bit, but we couldn't afford to keep paying for them. I really liked the piano teacher, too.

Do you have a piano or keyboard at home? If you do it you might wanna pick up an adult piano book that teaches you without a teacher. That's what we're learning from, and its at our own pace.

We did have a keyboard, but I can't remember if we still do or not. I struggle with reading the music.

That's perfectly alright, everyone does when they first start out. If you get a beginning piano book, it will help with that. And as a plus you can go as fast or as slow as you need. As long as you enjoy it, that's all that matters.
