Beta Help Again

Hello everyone, I'm writing a new Jeeves and Wooster fanfiction that I started in August, and I need some help, if you please. I haven't been writing much lately, so I'm rather out of the practice, especially with fanfiction. I just need some help to get the ball rolling and generate some plot ideas further.
It's a Jeeves/Blandings crossover with a Bertie/Jeeves pairing, where the Efficient Baxter finds out that they are in love before Jeeves and Bertie figure it out for themselves. I know what I want to happen in the end, but I'm unsure how to put it all together realisticly, and how Baxter could infer their love without it being obvious. Any ideas?

How about this: Lord E questions Baxter's sanity (canon), brings in Sir Roderick Glossop, who Baxter has consulted (canon), G knows B is sane, so he spends time gossiping rather than examining B (I always thought G very indiscreet about his patients, telling Bertie about the man who thought he was a canary), G is also 'treating' Bertie and let's slip something that gets Baxter thinking. Or G could say something more general about people in love often repressing their feelings from themselves, and B goes on the hunt for repressed feelings and finds them in all sorts of places, some of which are way off the mark, so its just by chance he gets it right with Bertie and Jeeves.

Since the Efficient Baxter is one of the most self-absorbed and socially clueless characters in all of Wodehouse, he would be likelier to give them away without realizing what he had done than to actually understand their feelings.

I can totally see your plot... and I think it really works. I _love_ the idea that Bertie accidentally gets engaged to Baxter's lady love.

The only question I have is whether Baxter would really understand what was going on (again, since he seems so unable to pay attention to anyone else's feelings) or he would just say something about how "close" Bertie seemed to Jeeves, thus tipping Jeeves off to what was going on.

I like your idea. I think Baxter was described as having 'no vices' other than greed: Maybe he's even apathetic to Jeeves and Bertie once he realizes they aren't a threat to his plans to marry. I wonder if he's even a catalyst for their relationship: he knows they're made for each other and if he can get them together then Bertie won't stay engaged to the girl he wants.
