I was working on another Christmassy picture, decided it was crap when it was already about 80% done, and chucked it in favor of this one. I'm glad I did. :)

(I've been modifying my image of the characters again, so you can see there's been a bit of a change with Bertie, although because of the angle I guess the only really noticeable change is his hair.)

I've also put up a bunch of art at my LJ again.

Oh, and a little announcement. I'm probably going to delete a number of old pictures from my gallery that I just can't stand any more. So if there's anything you'd like to keep, I'll give you a couple of weeks or so to do it. :)

Aw. What a Christmas present for all of us, indeed.
PS Why would the rating be PG? Is it any kiss, or the fact that it's two men kissing? Sorry, I'm European and always under-rating my fics, and to me your pic looks fit for the eyes of children of any age.

Thank you so much! I spend a lot of time fighting with English grammar, vocabulary and usage (not to mention the UK/US divide) but the part I find hardest is the rating.

Yes, basically what you said, especially about how "in-fandom ratings basically exist so adult fans can tailor their viewing/reading to their own tastes".

There's also the chance that some people are looking at this stuff at work, and I don't know if everyone's boss is okay with depictions of m/m kissing, so I went with a PG just to be on the safe side.

not to mention the differences between continents - Europe rates lower for sex but higher for violence, USA vice versa.

As for the rating, I generally think of G as being for pictures that have no overtly romantic or sexual content. It's not that I think a male/male kiss is something to be warned for, just that PG is for me a way of distinguishing this type of content from G stuff.
