J/W tarot

I am but a novice Tarot card enthusiast and aspiring "Cartomancer," but the idea of a Jeeves and Wooster themed deck occurred to me today as I was browsing a New Age bookstore, and I was tickled, so I created one. Too lazy to attempt the artwork as of yet, but I welcome anyone else to try their hand at it. Hope this causes some enjoyment for you lot, since it did for me!

Without more ado, I present the:

Jeeves and Wooster Tarot Deck!

0 The Fool: Bertie (edited from Barmy, upon reflection and rereading the card description)

1 The Magician: Jeeves (edited from Anatole, upon reflection and rereading the card description)

2 The High Priestess: Aunt Agatha (sacrificing nephews to the full moon, pagan rituals, etc)

3 The Empress: Aunt Dahlia

4 The Emperor: Uncle Tom (because he goes with Dahlia)

5 The Hierophant: ???

6 The Lovers: Bertie and Jeeves, OBVIOUSLY (alternatively, Bingo and Rosie)

7 The Chariot: the opposed forces of divided loyalties and good vs bad outcomes, represented by Marriage vs Bachelorhood, Schemes vs Forthrightness, and Bertie’s outer foolishness in contrast to his inner wisdom and generosity of spirit…no idea what the creatures pulling the chariot would be. Ideas? :D

8 Strength: Honoria (lol)

9 The Hermit: Rocky

10 The Wheel of Fortune: engagements, schemes, marriage, freedom, Jeeves

11 Justice: Plot Resolution (Bertie’s obligatory mostly happy ending) image: a book open to the last page?

12 The Hanged Man: Corky? (edited from Bertie)

13 Death: MARRIAGE

14 Temperance: Mottie (lol—he could be upside down, indicating that Temperance in the reversed position equals Mottie)

15 The Devil: Spode!

16 The Tower: engagements, schemes gone awry

17 The Star: Improving Books (meditation, etc)

18 The Moon: The Drones’ Club (base instincts, the subconscious, etc)

19 The Sun: Bertie’s sister, possibly, or trips to the Mediterranean with Jeeves (associated qualities: fruitfulness and sterility, collective intelligence, synthesis…I was at a loss)

20 Judgment: Roderick Glossop

21 The World: Wodehouse’s idyllic London

22 The Universe: Jazz Age Britain and New York

Tentative Recommendations for the Court Cards:

Wands (element: fire, desire, energy, inspiration, self-growth, impulse)

King of Wands: ???

Queen of Wands: Bobbie

Knight of Wands: Tuppy

Page of Wands: Angela

Cups (element: water, emotion, relationship, imagination, reflection)…often associated with lurrrrv

King of Cups: Catsmeat (Dionysian quality…is Catsmeat like this? He’s kind of a ladies’ man, right?)

Queen of Cups: Madeline

Knight of Cups: Bingo

Page of Cups: Rosie

Swords (element: air, thought, conflict, discrimination, problem-solving)…this one was the hardest for me…

King of Swords: Stilton?

Queen of Swords: Florence

Knight of Swords: Stinker

Page of Swords: Stiffy

Pentacles (element: earth, physical manifestation, security, worth, result)…often associated with money and goals

King of Pentacles: Mr Stoker

Queen of Pentacles: Pauline

Knight of Pentacles: Gussie?

Page of Pentacles: Emerald

other random cards:

10 of Pentacles (Wealth): Oofy, obviously

10 of Cups (Satiety): Tuppy, lol

9 of Swords (Cruelty): Spode and Stilton again

*In order to create this deck, I used as reference a combination of Aleister Crowley's Thoth deck, and The Complete Book of Tarot Reversals by Mary K Greer. I welcome anyone to suggest different arrangements, ask about my choices, or generally discuss things.

It's a lovely idea! :) I wouldn't think you'd want to use the same characters on different cards, except possibly the Wheel, so I'd vote to have Bingo and Rosie as the lovers, because they're most obviously the open romantics. But it's hard not to want to put Bertie on several.

Number 7, the puller of the Chariot. A possessed bicycle without a lantern, in the rain? That ride had good and bad outcomes, and divided loyalties, putting a rift between Bertie and Jeeves in slash fiction anyway.

J&W Tarot Deck? *tarot-nerdiness* Rider-Waite, eat your heart out!
The first animal that popped into mind for 7 chariots was newts. Or maybe cats? XD
Also, 13 - Death: marriage. Yes. That is awe. some. And the lovers has to be Bertie and Jeeves. It just has to. Who cares about double-ups? :P

I'd do The Tower (my most dreaded card) as Totliegh. It seems to fit.

I think Jeeves should be the King of swords, actually.
Could large bees (drones) be pulling the chariot?
maybe Wodehouse himself as the king of wands, since that wands are associated w/ creativity.

maybe Stinker Pinker as the hierophant because he's a vicar?
