favorite books?

hullo, everyone! :]]]

i'm a pretty long time lurker who's just now de-lurked, but that isn't really important. rather, i'm posting now because i'd like your opinions-- i plan on buying a few more jeeves books (i already own Code of the Woosters, Jeeves in the Morning and Jeeves and the Tie that Binds) now that i have some birthday money, and i want to know which ones are your favorites, and why, to help me decide what to get.

See if you can get some more of the short-story collections. They're great fun, and it's interesting to see how PGW's style of writing evolves from the early short stories into the later novels.

I would get The Inimitable Jeeves and Carry On, Jeeves, on the grounds that short story collections--and first volumes of favorite series--are nice to have around.

If you don't mind venturing out of Jeeves, I really adored 'Leave it to Psmith.' And I'm having a blast reading 'Stiff Upper Lip, Jeeves' right now.

Yep, I'm all for branching out. I'd get any of the Psmith books, however, "Psmith, Journalist" is my favorite.

But there's also "Aunts Aren't Gentlemen," which is a lot of fun.

i'm actually looking to buy The World of Jeeves and Wooster since that has most of the short stories (even though i just bought one of the collections a little while back LMFAO). i just have to find a place where it's available + relatively cheap.

i've been doing that lately too, by sticking little bits of paper by the quotes i like to bookmark them. and you're ruining them with love, so it's ok! most of my books are losing pages just from being read ;__;

i think that's the one i'm looking to buy. i really like the short stories.

I was about to rec the same one. It's always been my favourite - the bicycle ride scene alone is one of the best pieces of comedy ever written.
