Watching a particular program nearly everyday with my mother lately, I have come to a conclusion.

Jeeves would adore, I say, ADORE, Martha Stewart.

That is all. I apologize for leaving spam all over the floor, but I had to let that out.

Jeeves and Martha Stewart are my two all time ultimate role models.

WOW. Very true. Martha is a criminal though. However I always thought Jeeves was a bit shady.

I adore Martha Stewart and I think Jeeves would think of her as his sister in spirit.

By Jove, I think you're on to something!

Just imagine their great conversations about baking, decorating, the best method to iron a gentleman's shirt...swoon

LOL I never thought about it before, but I think you're right. :-)

But she's a notorious bitch D: I can see the appeal thought, w/ all her skills, but if only she had the spirit of Jamie Oliver or something xD

How hilarious. The question, then, becomes: why do I love Jeeves and hate Martha Stewart. Answer is probably because one is a fictional character written by an astoundingly fabulous comic writer and the other is a real-life money-grubbing modern individual.

I'm thinking he would admire her greatly but would not get on with her at all. That's because they both know exactly how things should be done, but they wouldn't do them the same way.

This is a very amusing observation.

Hmm, I don't think so. I enjoy watching her programs but everything I've seen outside of it, I dunno... She hasn't got half the brains Jeeves got. Plus she dumped Hopkins because he reminded her of Hannibal Lecter :c The criminal stuff is different, too. Jeeves would NEVER get caught for such a crime :)

she has a large domestic staff that does all the grunt work and is widely rumored to make Leona Helmsley look like Mother Teresa. Jeeves does everything himself and wouldn't treat anyone badly just because he outranked them. No comparison. also, some of her recipes don't work. Jeeves would never publish a non-functional recipe.

Martha Stewart Living

Reginald Jeeves Living Magazine would probably sell a lot more copies than Milady's Boudoir.

So since the only context in which I think of Martha Stewart is crocheting... does this mean Jeeves might be seen on the streets in a hand-crafted poncho? :)

I've actually always toyed with the idea of Jeeves turning a hand to clothing, in fact... and somewhere up my sleeve there is a fic about it.
