Em, you do it every time. Every single time. Bertie is maturing here and he's still his lovable, scatter-brained self. He more worried for Jeeves than he is for himself, and he isn't willing to just turn over his will to Jeeves. He's his own man and he's allowing Jeeves to be his own man. I suppose none of this makes sense, but perhaps it does.
