RE the Fic: Well, quite a nice first foray into the fandom, I'd say. Nice how it went from pleasantly caring to obsessively controlling tendencies. Well done, there. Creepy, true, but it was nicely handled, IMO.

RE Mascot: I think the others have it pinned down already.
