"Much Obliged Jeeves" Alternative Ending

What ho, all.

I've just come to the end of "Much Obliged, Jeeves", and I know that the American version has a different ending to the UK one. I couldn't get hold of the American version (which I think is titled "Jeeves And The Tie That Binds") anywhere, but I want to see how the versions differ.

So, is there anyone who has the American version and would be happy to type out the ending for us here? Or has someone already done this? If other people want to compare, I'd be happy to type out the ending to the English version as well.

Forgive a poor, ignorant fangirl, but does anyone know exactly why there are two different endings? I'm always curious about these kinds of things. X3 If anyone knows, I'd be much obliged!

Thanks very much! Is that all the difference that there is?! I though it would be more than a few lines.

Definitely prefer the American version. I shall have to write those lines in at the end of my "Much Obliged". I second the question as to why two different conclusions exist though.

The Tie That Binds is the only American version of the Jeeves books that I have because of this little bit of slashy joy.

I think it's because the American editor (or or agent or someone like that) wanted a better explanation as to why Jeeves destroyed those pages regarding Bertie. So Wodehouse wrote the alternate ending.
