Well that's what it sounds like to me. Which I suppose by extension means I currently sound like a Danish lesbian. I believe they record us at work, but I've not been told off so I've never heard myself.
The cheap built-in mic loses a lot of the bottom end of my vocal range, which is depleted by my cold anyway, which is really unhelpful when trying to sound male, and the processing cuts a lot of the rest, but if I can get hold of a decent quality headset mic and get a clean signal then I can start experimenting with things like messing with the pitch in software. I'm not entirely happy with the accent I used for Bertie, either, but at the moment if I go any posher, my pitch tends to go up and before I know it, it's less Bertie and more Madeline Bassett.
I would like to do it once I've got proper equipment as it's been ten years since I did any real voice work, and I'm also thinking that if I get the stuff, I might do a straight-to-audio fic, complete with sound effects...
