Quick note about updated links

Hey guys, some of you might have heard or noticed that my journal became suddenly empty a few days ago. I was hacked and my entries were all deleted. But don't fear! Though my comments and personal entries are forever lost to the wind, my fics are saved.

They have all been reposted to my journal. I have gone through this comm and updated all my links to reflect the new posts. However, you will need to update your own mems and bookmarks if you happen to have those. I'm really sorry about this, guys. I know it's a huge hassle. You can find all the fics in their new URLs here: http://triedunture.livejournal.com/tag/jeeves.

There is one tiny drabble that it seems I do not have a backup for: the Jeeves drabble about him looking for a job (http://community.livejournal.com/indeedsir/405451.html). If anyone happened to save that, please let me know.

I'm trying very valiantly to forge ahead and rebuild my journal. But the thing that hurts the most is that I lost all your beloved comments. Now, I don't expect y'all to re-comment on everything, but maybe for those who haven't had a chance to see this chunk of Jooster fics, perhaps you could leave a comment so they don't look so lonely? Thanks, everyone. I hope to recover from this quickly and gracefully and continue to bring you good, decent, honest fics.

Hmm...I can't seem to comment on anything in your journal. Never had that problem before! :(

It said something about only people you have friended can comment...?

No big deal! I'm just glad you're back, and more awesome than ever :D

I was wondering about that earlier. I read through The Long Road today and was a bit baffled at the lack of comments. I had been avoiding it because you put that warning about dark subject matter and I believe that dark subject matter has (for the most part) no place in the Jeeves and Wooster universe, but I kept see good reviews of it, and you have proved me wrong. It is, thus far, an excellent fic. I am enjoying it quite a bit. Keep up the good work.

You bet I will re-comment on The Long Road.

Doesn't LJ have backups?

Oh my goodness. Those evil monkeys. I was wondering what had happened when I couldn't see anything. I couldn't imagine that you would go and delete everything and abandon all of us fic fans. My google reader has bunches of your posts if you would like any help in getting them back.

[identity profile] baby-rat.livejournal.com 2008-09-27 03:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Sure thing. Send me an email and I'll get them to you right quick.

Oh, that's terrible!

Do you have any of the URLs to entries that were deleted? The Wayback Machine (http://www.archive.org/web/web.php) might help.

That's so depressing. :(
If I lost all seven years of my journal, I think I'd lock myself in a closet and never come out. You are a braver soul than I!

Right ho!
I look forward to you defiantly populating your journal with loads of new content now. :)
