Accessory help, please!

My room has a ceiling light operated by a light pull. The pull chain naturally hangs right down the middle of my room. So I want to put a nice bauble at the end of it. And not just any bauble, but one shaped like a bowler hat (or some other Jeevesian insignia). I've had no luck finding one online. I'm willing to have one custom-made, but it has to be able to withstand being repeatedly gripped and tugged.
Any suggestions?

you could try to make it out of fimo craft clay-- its pretty durable.

Doesn't monopoly have a bowler-hat piece? Or would that be too small?

I think you're thinking of the top hat.

I like your icon. *grin*

I probably am -- I avoid monopoly the same way I avoid most deadly infections.

And everyone loves this icon and for good reason.

you could get a lampwork one made of glass. I know a lot of lampworkers as I spend time on this website: http://www.beadbuddies.co.uk/forum/index.php

I'm sure if you asked one of them would take up the challenge

My family loves Monopoly. We have quite a few versions of the game.

Donald O'Connor and Gene Kelly were phenomenal dancers. Plus, they look good in those 20's style outfits.

Ooh, brilliant idea. I was about to suggest looking up some wood-turning places, in that some of the more durable toggles one sees are made from a hard-wearing wood of some description, and something as dotty as a bowler hat would be right up a craftsperson's alley.

Super sculpey firm is quite sturdy, you can make the bowler hat thingummy from it.

What sort of size? What sort of material? *plotting*
And... www.etsy.com has got lots of people who custom make things like that. Make an alchemy request! :)

I bought a bottle of Broker's (I think it's Broker's) Gin that came with a plastic bowler hat on top of the bottle cap. The hat was about 1" X 1" X 1.5".

Do you like gin?

Who doesn't like gin? XP

Aha! I was about to suggest the same thing! You beat me to it.

...Not having a pull for my fan, I put the bowler on my rat's head. Perfect size.

Squeak squeak, sir.

A very small drillbit or a hot nail should do the trick.

Use the gin to thin paint or clean the oven. :D
