As for the songs, I found this website for a queer music radio show (http://www.queermusicheritage.us/jun2004.html) that had a special on pre-Stonewall queer music, and I was Googling around for the songs they listed and found the CD on Amazon. But there's still more on that list that I haven't found, so it's probably a good place to start. Off the top of my head, I'd recommend Noel Coward's "Mad About the Boy" too.
